Free art making activities for all ages and abilities, docent tours, and live musical performances. Food concessions available.
Special event on August 14th features 11 AM-1 PM: Visualizing Vocalizations-Soundwave Portraits. All ages are welcome. Also, 1 PM-3 PM: Music featuring Sea String - Trace Johnson & Sahada Buckley. Cello, Violin & Electronics.
On Saturday, September 24th there will be a STAR PARTY at 7:30 PM. Come and observe the cosmos with the Astronomy Outreach Team. Activities for kids (coloring pages, Make Your Own Planet, and more!) Observe the night sky through the 20" Dobsonian Telescope (observing is weather permitting). Bring your own telescope too!
Special events on October 9th will include, besides music and art & science activities, a Local History-Cheyenne Valley presentation by Kevin & Patsy Alderson at 11:30 AM.
Painted Forest is open to the public every weekend from June to mid-October.
