Gills Rock Art Fest

Artists will be in action for the public to watch at this annual Gills Rock ArtFest over the Labor Day weekend. Twenty artists will be on hand who work in collage, assemblage, oil, jewelry, encaustic painting, photography, fabric, mosaic and clay, all showing their wares outdoors in a village of tents.

Raku pottery firing demonstrations, an ancient method that involves fire, smoke and organic matter that reacts with glazes for surface effects takes place both days.
