Discover Cranberries & Cafe
Warrens is the Cranberry Capital of Wisconsin, and at Discover Cranberries & Cranberry Country Cafe, visitors can learn all about the state’s No. 1 fruit crop. The 4,800-square-foot exhibit hall highlights the history of Wisconsin’s cranberry industry, from Native American harvesting to today’s growing and harvesting methods.
Interactive exhibits include a cranberry corralling game and a kids’ activity area. Displays feature a log cabin used to make cranberry hand rakes, one of the first harvesting machines, and a Bailey cranberry sorting mill. Guests can also explore the history of the 125-year-old Union Cranberry Warehouse and learn about marsh wildlife.
Before or after the tour, visitors can enjoy breakfast, lunch, or the Friday Night Steak and Fish Fry at the Cranberry Country Cafe. The vintage ice cream parlor offers six cranberry flavors made especially for the venue. The gift shop features Wisconsin-made gourmet foods, t-shirts, hats, cranberry candles, soaps, books, and more.
