Madeline Island is the largest of the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior. Take the 3-mile ferry ride from Bayfield to arrive in La Pointe, the only town on the island and the place where you can stroll through art galleries, small-town shops, and try tasty restaurants with lakeside views. Get your nature fill at the beautiful Big Bay State Park with 2 miles of pristine beaches or take a guided kayaking tour to see the island from a different angle.
