Lazy Beaver Canoe Race

The annual Lazy Beaver Canoe and Kayak Race is sponsored by the Reedsburg Kiwanis. Take it easy or race for the fun of it, but let the Baraboo River be your guide! The race's starting point is in LaValle on the south side of the river, east of the Highway 58 bridge. The finish line is the Granite Avenue boat landing in Reedsburg. This race is intended to be a fun family event. The plan is to have the most serious canoeists start first so the more leisurely entrants don't slow them down or get in the way. There are many different divisions plus an award for Best Decorated Boat or Kayak.
