Fall is here, and it’s time for the annual Scarecrow Festival in Neshkoro. The event takes place at Stan-O-Gene Park on Hwy 73, just north of the village. The park offers a large, level area featuring vendors, a covered pavilion for food and beverages, accessible washrooms, and plenty of parking.

Families can enjoy free face painting, free cookie decorating, games, and a new kid scavenger hunt. Activities also include visits with therapy horses from Living Anew Farms, safety tips from the Neshkoro Fire Department, and a bike raffle for children. Adults can browse vendor booths, enjoy food and drinks, and listen to music from the DJ while kids play in a safe environment.

The festival’s highlight is the Scarecrow Contest, with categories for both businesses and families. This year, scarecrows will be displayed along Main Street for the whole community to enjoy, with voting taking place during the event. Plan to spend a few hours of family-friendly fun in a welcoming small-town atmosphere.
