Henry returns home on his birthday after mistakenly picking up a briefcase full of money. He shares the news with his wife Jean, who is horrifide by the idea of keeping it. Friends arrive for the birthday dinner, only to be swept into the chaos when a detective shows up, thinking Henry is involved in something criminal. As police inquiries increase, Henry spins lie after lie to keep the money a secret while Jean starts drining heavily due to the stress. Tensions rise as the truth becomes harder to hide with Henry juggling multiple stores and Jean, while increasingly drunk, starts to slip up. There is a final twist involving the fate of the money and wether Henry and Jean can escape or face consequenses. The show ends in a mix of relief and absurdity, in true farcical fashion.
