Best Place to See Color
The Ice Age National Scenic Trail winds through the Kettle Moraine State Forest including the Loew Lake and Pike Lake units and to Holy Hill. The Northern Kettle Moraine-Pike Lake Unit in Hartford has both the Kettle Moraine trails and the Ice Age Trail that are truly magical places to enjoy fall colors. The Powder Observation Tower off of the Kettle Moraine trail provides an amazing bird's eye view of the various fall colors. Scenic rolling hills through the countryside. The Ice Age Trail continues through Slinger, West Bend and into Kewaskum. Kewaskum begins the official Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest where the trails are amazing in the fall. In Kewaskum you can catch the Northern Kettle Moraine State Forest trail. The Washington County Parks and many of the municipal parks have beautiful trails making for amazing fall hikes. Driving all around the county provides for wonderful scenery with fabulous stops along the way.
