The John Michael Kohler Arts Center (JMKAC) is a nationally acclaimed visual and performing arts complex located in Sheboygan. Visitors of all ages will enjoy year-round access to two museum locations offering something for everyone, from art exhibitions and performances to a family-friendly café, two gift shops, a tavern, and a hands-on art studio. Admission and parking are always FREE.

At the Arts Center, ponder exhibitions and commissioned works of art throughout eight galleries. Take in a live performance at one of two performing arts spaces. Pause for a fresh, seasonal meal or snack from the museum CAFE, also offering kid-friendly menu items. Sign up for a class or workshop. Visit the Social STUDIO for an impromptu art-making session. Find the perfect gift or souvenir in the museum SHOP, located on-site at the Arts Center, or seek treasure from among the offerings at ARTspace, located at The Shops at Woodlake Kohler. Both stores feature an ever-changing selection of art, jewelry, apparel and accessories, stationery, and gifts for all ages.

At the Art Preserve, immerse yourself in entire worlds constructed by artists and glimpse thousands of pieces of art in visible, curated storage. Relax with a drink at the Fred Smith Tavern, located in the lobby area.

Founded in 1967, JMKAC promotes the understanding and appreciation of the work of self-taught and contemporary artists. It has earned a worldwide reputation for preserving, studying, and exhibiting artist-built environments. Art environments involve an individual significantly transforming their surroundings into an exceptional, multifaceted work of art.
