This is a very scenic spot to enjoy the tranquility of a truly wild river. Washburn Falls is a cascading waterfall that drops about 6-feet. The best view can be attained by reaching a peninsula that juts out in front of the falls. Reaching the peninsula can be difficult with a steep hill and a small stream crossing.
Access to Washburn Falls is from County Road C via Sunrise Rd 4.9 miles east of State Road 101 or 7.2 miles west of County Road U. From County Road C take Sunrise Rd northward 1.4 miles to the point where Sunrise Road turns east. Continue northward on Washburn Falls Rd 2.6 miles to the parking lot.
