Log Cabins Of Pence
Italian and Corsican immigrants settled here in the late 1880s to work in the iron mines or the surrounding forest. They built their homes and outbuildings using logs and other materials at hand. More than 20 unique log buildings, representing different styles of log construction are scattered throughout the community, giving Pence the greatest concentration of log buildings of any town its size in Wisconsin.
