The Silver Dome Ballroom, established in 1933, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and the State of Wisconsin Register for its unique architecture and rich entertainment history. The building features a Lamella truss design, characterized by a honeycomb pattern of bolted ceiling beams. The Keller brothers paid $1,000 for the right to use this design, which allows for a clear-span interior with no obstructing posts, pillars, or beams. While there may be other remaining Lamella truss dome structures, none have the rounded, band-shell style ends found on the Silver Dome, making it a truly one-of-a-kind building.
