Connors Lake Campground
Open at noon the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend with campsite registration ending the Tuesday after Labor Day. Located in the Flambeau River State Forest on Connors Lake (410 acres, motorized, musky, northern pike, walleye, panfish-especially crappie); 29 rustic campsites with fire rings and picnic tables (2 sites are ADA Designated); fee required; tents, trailers, and RVs up to 45+ feet; sites can be reserved by calling 888-947-2757 or online at www.reserveamerica.com; drinking water, two vault toilet buildings, garbage and recycling station, boat access (no landing), swimming area, 0.3-mile nature trail, hiking and biking trails nearby; 24/7 access to public bathrooms & showers eight (8) miles west on Hwy. W at the Flambeau River State Forest Headquarters building and dump station nearby, available mid-May through early-October, weather permitting; near the Connors Lake Picnic Area at W1039 County Hwy. W (boat landing & shallow swimming area), 22 miles of hiking, biking and cross-country skiing trails including the Flambeau Hills Trail, and the 38-multi-use Flambeau River State Forest Trail (allows ATVs and UTVs up to 65 inches May 15 - November 15), 55 miles of snowmobile trails, Little Falls/Slough Gundy scenic area, and the North Fork of the Flambeau River (canoe/kayak/float fishing trips) with 14 canoe campgrounds (35 canoe campsites), first-come, first-served limited to a 1-night stay (maximum 20-night stay). Winter camping - plowed roads to 15 sites until December 15th; vault toilets and drinking water - hand pump.
