Popple Ridge Horse Trail is currently closed due to the July 19, 2019 derecho storm damage. Keep checking back on when the horse trail will be opening.

When the trail is open, bring your horse to the Popple Ridge Trail which is located in the eastern end of Langlade County off Hwy 55. The trail is located in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest.  The trail is approximately 25 miles of trails with a variety of different terrains to choose from. This trail is managed by the Triple R Horse-riding club along with other volunteers.

The trail is marked throughout by horseshoe signs and "You Are Here" signs at major intersections.

The trail passes through the Silver Birch horse-riding trail system, with beautiful scenery of forests, ponds, rivers & lakes.

There is a primitive camping area available. There is water near the camp at a small stream on Setting Lake Road.
