Art Preserve of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center
The Art Preserve of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center is the world’s first museum dedicated to the presentation, care, and study of art environments, a unique art form wherein artists transform their homes, yards, and other spaces into multifaceted works of art. The Art Preserve is an experimental space housing the Art Center’s world-renowned collection of over 35 artist-built environments, allowing year-round viewing of these fascinating works, and providing a platform for ongoing explorations and investigations into art environments, their makers, and the Arts Center’s role as their institutional steward. There’s no other place like it.
