R-119 is located on Washington Island. Ferry service to the island is available. The south end of the route is punctuated with sand dunes, forests and the occasional view of the rocky shoreline of Lake Michigan. The Limestone bluffs along Mountain Road are part of the Niagara Escarpment. Gently rolling Town Line and Airport roads pass by forests, lavender farms and vineyards. Jackson Harbor Road just past Main Road provides access to Schoolhouse Beach, a very unique stone beach. Little Lake Road is heavily forested and provides access to People’s Park and the Jacobsen’s Museum.
