Rolling through some of the most scenic terrain in all of Wisconsin, Highway 23 traverses hills and valleys from Dodgeville north to Spring Green. World-renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright found the landscape so beautiful, he built his home here. Built in 1911, Taliesin overlooks the Wisconsin River and its majestic fall color show. Visitors can tour the architect's home and other famous Wright buildings at the Frank Lloyd Wright Visitor Center. (608/588-7900; www.taliesinpreservation.org) A short drive down Highway 23 is another architectural wonder. Known for its eclectic collections, House on the Rock is also home to the Infinity Room which offers spectacular fall color viewing with more than 3,200 windows for walls.
