Soak in the beauty of scenic outdoor Wisconsin at Cascade Falls in downtown Osceola. This 25-foot waterfall located along the St. Croix River was the main reason for the founding of the village, and once supported a mill and a brewery. If you visit at dusk, LED lights will light up the falls in a variety of colors sure to please visitors. After you’re done admiring the falls, consider visiting other nearby scenic sights such as Osceola Bluff just south of Cascade Falls and Geiger Falls just above the main falls.
The St. Croix ArtBarn is a 110-year-old dairy barn that has been converted into a community arts center in Osceola. The barn features a 180-seat performance theater as well as a large art gallery playing host to both new and established artists of local and world-wide recognition. Visitors can experience theatre, music, visual arts, dance, writers and more when they visit the St Croix ArtBarn.
Enjoy the geological beauty of Polk County at Wisconsin’s oldest state park. This 1,400-acre state park has exceptional glacial features worth exploring. Embark on a journey along the park’s multi-use trails to get a closer look at the steep-sided gorges and forestry that make this state park unique. When you’re done on the trails, visit the park’s Ice Age Interpretive Center to learn more about glaciers and the history of Interstate State Park.
The Northern Lakes Center for the Arts acts as a comprehensive cultural center in Amery. The center is home to a chamber orchestra, theater guild, writer’s guild, an art gallery and a school of the arts.
