If you’re looking for fresh, the Dane County Farmers’ Market -- largest producer-only farmers' market in the nation -- is the place to go. Even better, it’s reliable—the 160+ vendors at the market are selling only products they themselves produce. During summer, the market takes place every Saturday 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. around the Capitol building of downtown Madison, rain or shine, and Wednesdays 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. And when it’s not summer, the farmers’ market retreats indoors to the Madison Senior Center, taking place every Saturday 8 a.m. to noon. So, whether it’s for fresh flowers or fresh food, to take in the culture or take away an experience, the Dane County Farmers’ Market has it all.
