On the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of the Mary L. Nohl Fellowship and for this first time, The Walrus Club brings together two important aspects of Nohl’s legacy: the Mary L. Nohl fund, a grant program initiated in 2003 to support artists working in and around Milwaukee, and the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, the repository of the Mary Nohl collection and the site steward for Nohl’s home in Fox Point, WI. In collaboration with Polly Morris, executive director of the Lynden Sculpture Garden, and administrator of the fellowship, eight previous recipients of the Nohl fellowship were selected to submit proposals. The exhibition will feature new work by Cecelia Condit, Kim Miller, Sonja Thomsen, Sheila Held, Sarah Luther, Anne Kingsbury, Maggie Sasso-Jones, and Robin Jebavy.
