Kohl's Haitian Gallery: Jam Ak Jam Performance
This event has expired. This may be a recurring event, so please check the calendar in the future for updated occurrences.
700 N Art Museum Dr - Milwaukee, WI 53202
Join the Milwaukee Art Museum and special guests Jam Ak Jam in celebrating the vibrant art and culture of Haiti. The Kohl’s Haitian Gallery, located on the mezzanine level of the Milwaukee Art Museum, is home to one of the largest collections of Haitian art outside of Haiti. In years past, the gallery has served as a stage for local artists to share the music, dance, and storytelling of Haiti and the African Diaspora during Black History Month. February 27, the Museum will premiere a video of African drumming and dance featuring the backdrop of the Museum as the stage.
The performance is available for free on the Museum’s website at mam.org/haitian-gallery, as well as on the Museum’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
