LUMA: An evening in the dark tells a story about light.   Founded in 1996, LUMA: Art in Darkness is the preeminent illuminated production, the first of its kind to tour the U.S. now in its 22nd year. The show tells a profound and moving tale about our loss of the night skies due to light pollution and the fears that humans have of darkness. The work embraces a wide variety of both low and high technology while blending circus and theater arts to create an unforgettable experience. The evening’s production will also feature the Sky Glow Project and a lobby exhibit by the International Dark Sky Association on how to bring back the heritage that is our night skies while educating to the health hazards associated with light pollution and white LED street lighting.  Appropriate for ages 5 and older.
