The St. Croix River Association (SCRA) hosts this 6-day, 92 mile, river camping trip on the Namekagon River, one of the nation’s first wild and scenic rivers. The trip starts in Cable and floats down through Seeley, Hayward and Trego before joining the St. Croix River to a final destination in Danbury. The SCRA makes it easy for those that want to enjoy some incredible scenery and experience a multi-day river adventure with some conveniences.
The St. Croix National Scenic Riverway became a national park with the passage of the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act in 1968. Thanks to federal protections, the Riverway — which includes the St. Croix and Namekagon Rivers — still offers clean water, breathtaking beauty, and abundant recreation.
