Choreographer Maria Gillespie will present the movement installation Tangible Space in response to Sonja Thomsen: in the space of elsewhere. Thomsen’s work will be activated by dance performances by Gillespie and Joelle Worm within the installation’s multiple levels, calling attention to the materiality of touch, the rootedness of presence, and the movement of light. Chicago artist Mike Rea created the platform sculptures on which the dancers will perform.
